Disney Halted the 'Lizzie McGuire' Reboot Because It Had "A Sex And Cheating Storyline" and Was Too Cool

Daily Mail — Hilary Duff slammed the Disney+ network after her Lizzie McGuire reboot was put on hold last month as she fought back against a PG rating.

A leaked McGuire script revealed that 'sex with cheating' was a main storyline in the show's revival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

So the Lizzie McGuire reboot was apparently halted because Hilary Duff wants it to be cool and Disney is still a bunch of prudes in 2020.

I need this show. Lizzie McGuire is an all-time classic and a reboot geared towards the now-adults who grew up with the show was such a good idea. But now it might not happen all because Lizzie is apparently having a little sex.

Hilary Duff announced she wanted Disney to move the show to Hulu when the news of the production halt broke, which seems like a perfect solution. Let Duff make the show she wants and give the people what we came to Disney Plus for in the first place.

I need Lizzie back. I don't care how it happens, just make sure that it does. Disney serves alcohol at Disney World now but we can't have a show where Lizzie McGuire navigates the complexities of 21st Century adult life in New York City? Absurd. We've already seen kid Lizzie; that's not what anybody wants.

I also HAVE to know if Gordo is involved in this sex and/or cheating. My guy spent the better part of two decades in the friend zone only to finally get his moment to shine and have it canceled? I don't think so. Fix this.

Give me Lizzie or give me death.
