The absolute shame of some studios trotting out these clear Oscar-bait movies as if we can't see right through their little ruse. We're smarter than you give us credit for, you assholes! Lets break down some stuff via embedded tweets since I am a copyright respecter:
Look, it is a miracle that any movie gets made. That's what makes the criticism biz hard sometimes! Here is the thing, though. If your budget sucks, don't make a point of highlighting that fact. If you can't afford good prop guns, maybe don't do a close up scene on the bolts for the trailer.
If your fight choreography isn't good, maybe leave parts like this out as well. I do, however, like how they simply didn't explain any of the other characters featured in the trailer whatsoever and how they didn't give a release date at the end of the trailer. That such an extreme level of Dudes-rock energy that I have no choice but to un-ironically need to watch this movie.
P.S. In case you were wondering, Hafþór Björnsson was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy which is why the side of his face looks the way it does. Get well soon king!
