Fire It Up - 2025's One Shining Moment

Every single year, man. I don't care what happens, the moment this song comes on I stop everything I do. I don't think I'll ever outgrow it to be honest. I'm 38. I'm a dad. But One Shining Moment still is the greatest for me. They somehow made the first couple rounds of this Tournament seem memorable. That's what One Shining Moment will do to you. 

It's my favorite tradition in sports. 3 weeks of pure mayhem put together perfectly in 3 minutes. Quick clips of the guys 10 years from now you'll randomly think about in a conversation about basketball. I will blog this every single year because of how important this song is to me. 

I don't care what happened early on in this Tournament. We know it sucked. But the Final Four? Yeah that delivered. It was one of the best Final Fours we ever had. That's not being a prisoner of the moment. You had 3 comebacks in 3 games. You had 3 memorable moments. It was all four No. 1 seeds, the four teams everyone agreed were the four best teams in the country delivering on the biggest stage. That was a bigger moment than Derik Queen's shot, McNeese's first round win or anything else. The Final Four is what we'll talk about when it comes to the 2025 Tournament.

I truly love this sport and a large part is due to the crazy ass fans who come together in this stupid sport. Get us to November now.
