Titans Drafts QB Cam Ward #1 Overall - Here's Every Sidearm Throw That Shows He WILL Be A Generational Player In Nashville

Welcome to Nashville, Cameron Anthony Ward! Folks his name literally translates to AWARD

And that's exactly how Titans fans should feel now that a bonafide QB1 is finally on the team. Peel your bananas, throw out your mayo jars, and strap in to enjoy the best QB prospect Tennessee has seen since the days of Steve McNair.

Even Air McNair never had a 4,000 yard passing season though. Absolutely insane to see the Titans solely running the Delaware Wing-T since the 90s while barely attempting to evolve on offense. Good times!

Thankfully we're still not as bad as the Jets, holy fuck does that franchise need to be abolished ASAP. And judging from that graphic the Bears should have never existed past 1947.

But Chicago got their guy #1 overall last year and it'd be surprising to see Caleb Williams not hit 4k this season. Is it a hot take to say based off their tape Caleb & Cam have VERY similar potential? I don't think so but before February most draft pundits were talking about Cam like he was an undeserving afterthought. Just a super raw prospect who'd barely crack QB7 in the stacked 2024 class. Too turnover prone to trust and too unproven to matter amongst the big dogs.

Not sure how you can watch breakdowns like these and come away thinking anything except that Cam = ALPHA.

The wild highlights & cross body throws are tantalizing to watch even if they won't be 100% as successful in the NFL. But those aren't plays you can teach either. You can only hope that Houdini magic is already within their fingers to figure out.

Will Levis? His hands are soaked in poop flavored mayo, which was just a bummer for everyone involved. GG & GL #8

But the traits that really got me excited about QB1 Cam? The competitive DNA & genuine leadership his coaches rave about dating back to high school. This is a kid that has earned every inch he's got and refuses to accept anything less than the best when it comes to effort from himself AND his teammates. How else can you explain a 0-star recruit becoming the #1 overall pick? He makes an impact & improves relationships wherever he laces em up. Just listen to his most recent coaches at Miami gush about he makes everyone around him better…

(MSN) - "Ward organized throwing sessions with receivers, forcing teammates to run routes with extreme precision and focus. Before long, Dawson started calling him the best receivers coach in the country. Dawson credited Ward for instilling discipline Miami had lacked.

“He doesn’t shy away from hard conversations,” Dawson said. “To be a true alpha — people throw that term around a lot — you got to be able to take a stand when nobody is standing around you. And he has that ability. He don’t care about what the majority believes. If he believes it in his heart, he’ll stand on an island by himself. You got to be a lone wolf if you want to be leader, and he does that. That’s what makes him the best leader. And that’s what going to make him go to wherever he goes early and rally everybody around him.”

Ward’s calm demeanor is not superficial. At Miami, having watched Ward linger in the pocket as if waiting at a bus stop, Dawson and an offensive analyst grew curious about whether Ward was really as placid as he appeared. They asked Hurricanes sports scientists to review tracking technology that showed players’ heart rates. Even during the tensest moments, Ward’s pulse stayed level."

And when it comes to staying chill in the pocket he's literally the Anti-Mayo Man. Now I'm not expecting him to be the next Patrick Mahomes, that psycho is 1/1… But plenty of experts in the game say it's not so crazy to wonder if Cam can come damn close to that.

(HC) - Former Incarnate Word coach Eric Morris learned of Ward's precocious talent slightly earlier than the college football world during a spring camp for high schoolers. Morris recalled that his initial meeting with Ward in 2019 was one of a kind.

"It's as good a camp as I can remember since Patrick Mahomes," Morris said. "He's launching some posts 60, 65 yards down the field, hitting guys in stride, throwing some unbelievable balls." The depth of Ward's deep ball isn't his only standout trait, nor is it the sole indicator of Mahomes-style attributes. Arbuckle noted, "there's not a throw Cam can't make," adding, "he can make 'em from so many different arm slots."

Truthfully I don't see how Cam Ward ends up being anything close to a bust. In fact I'm pretty damn confident him & Cally & Calvin are about to cook in a major way together, so give me all the overs on sidearm TDs next season.

I think he can pull off a 3600 yard/25 TDs/9 INTs rookie year… And by his 3rd year in the league have at least (1) 4000 yard season + (1) playoff win. That's the floor.

The ceiling? Well that doesn't exist. For Houdini Cam, the sky is no limit. Fuck it. Why can't the kid from Houston become better than Patrick Mahomes?

Either way America, prepare to TITAN THE FUCK UP for the next decade.

We're actually gonna see two-tone blue on national TV again… Dreams DO come true. Thank you Cam.
