Power Couple Dominance: Livvy Dunne Has Landed Her First Ever SI Swimsuit Cover While Paul Skenes Was Just Named To Team USA For The Upcoming World Baseball Classic
It's tough these days to top the power couple that is Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner as they pour their blood, sweat, and tears into the Knicks title run. Not many have it better than them right now.
But I'll counter with Paul Skenes and Livvy Dunne because it's fun and a creative way to make a blog. Today they both made big news in their respective fields. We'll start with Paul Skenes who was named to Team USA's World Baseball Classic roster.
You might not think this is a big deal, but the timing of the game and the intensity it requires has scared off premier starting pitchers from participating in the past. Our rotation last time around was highlighted by Merrill Kelly who isn't a bad pitcher by any means, but he shouldn't be your ace in these games.
Once the tournament gets down to the nitty gritty and USA is going up against teams like the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Japan it's as intense as it gets. The crowds are a riot scene and if you're at home watching you really want us to win rather than passing it off as an alternate spring training. I'll go nuts for Team USA regardless of the sport, but when it's baseball featuring the best in the world what more can you ask for?

For Skenes this has added importance because the man was enrolled at Air Force before transferring to LSU. There was definitely a period of time where he thought he'd be flying fighter jets right now rather than pitching. Very few things get this dude excited, but I can guarantee pitching and patriotism are at the top of the list.
Skenes views this as a prestigious honor that he takes very seriously. It'll be so cool if we're facing Japan in the championship game and he's toeing the rubber. Having guys like Skenes and Judge already signing up for the team is awesome. When you get the superstars to care then more fans will follow and buy in, making this a spectacular event to follow in March. Skenes agreeing to play is a massive win for this event.
On the flip side of Skenes' relationship you of course have Livvy Dunne. You might know her on this forum.

Tim is on a heater of all heaters these days whether it being sitting court-side for his Knicks, getting best actor noms, making a Kardashian/Jenner seem likable, or just being the man in everyday life.
But if you wanna take things "easy" while still dominating the Earth you're riding with the Skenes crew. He's also an all-world pitcher who throws 100 mph and is dating Livvy Dunne. As long as his arm doesn't explode in the next five years he'll earn generational wealth. It's a great life. One of the best. And yet here I am typing away about them all being by far the biggest loser of them all. I guess I could be a Celtics fan right now. Couldn't imagine that fate. Phew.
