They Finally Figured It Out! Max Will Be Changing The Name Of Their App Back To HBO Max This Summer

As a wise man once said around these parts, "Sometimes you’ve gotta go back, to actually move forward". That may be a better motto if you are trying to get Jeff Fisher hired for a job somewhere, but I gotta give credit to Max HBO Warner Bros. for finally getting it right. 

I cannot fathom the amount of work and money that was given to some consulting firm to come up with "Uhhhhhh yeah, you should DEFINITELY include the name of the most trusted brand in television on your app. Why the hell did you ever take it off". But in the end, all that matters is that they got it right and we can soak in the memes from all this nonsense (at least until they change it back when some new C-suite takes over and wants to shake things up).

In all seriousness though, the black and white logo is soooooo much better than the purple or blue, which didn't feel HBOish enough. If jumping through all those hoops was necessary for the color change to happen, I think it was oddly worth it.
