Things Are Going Great At Quail Hollow Today - Now We Got Shane Lowry Losing His Mind On The Course And Giving His Ball The Finger

I'm leading with that image because it's why we got a Shane Lowry freakout. I don't know if I ever recall a true Shane Lowry freakout on the course. He's gotten mad in press conferences before, he's shown emotion, but I don't really remember anything like this. Got stuck in a divot, chunked it out of there. That led to him swinging at the divot and clearly screaming fuck a bunch of times. 

It's absolute bullshit that Lowry doesn't get some sort of relief from someone else's pitch mark here. This is one of those rules I will never understand. Why are you penalizing a guy for hitting the ball in the fairway. I understand the whole argument about guys using this to their advantage, but when it's this obvious? Feels like a no-brainer to me.

I respect the move. It's not as aggressive as Tyrrell Hatton calling his driver a piece of shit cunt like we saw this morning, but it lets everyone know what you think. Plus, there's something relieving about giving the finger. It's a quick moment, you get the frustration out and you get back to normal.

 I believe there is a 'fuck this place' from Lowry too. Don't blame him, people haven't been thrilled with Quail Hollow. I don't love it either. I stand with the theory that majors should be played at non-tour event courses. We get to see this course enough, play it somewhere else. It at least makes it feel like a major then and we can argue about scores and pin placements and all that stuff.
