BREAKING NEWS: Belichick and Jordon Hudson are Reportedly Engaged to be Married!

This might very well be a magical day. One for the books. A day that all of us who love a great love story can all cherish and celebrate:

On3 - A report from the New York Times claimed Jordon Hudson said she was engaged to Bill Belichick amid the Hard Knocks cancellation. North Carolina was set to be on the HBO show this summer, instead of an NFL franchise, before Hudson was allegedly the reason for NFL Films pulling the plug.

The New York Times’ Katherine Rosman reported Hudson had a list of demands for HBO. In what has been revealed to be new details, Hudson flipped a switch just days before announcing the series coming to college football.

Not only that, as The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel pointed out, Hudson reportedly told at least one person that her and Belichick were engaged. …

“This winter, producers at NFL Films decided that a new season of its sports docuseries, ‘Hard Knocks,’ would focus on Mr. Belichick’s efforts to build the UNC football program ahead of the 2025 season,” Rosman wrote, via Mandel. “HBO agreed to air it. But days before they were set to announce the series, Ms. Hudson demanded she be granted content approval and partial ownership of the show, according to a person familiar with the deal who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized by producers to speak to a reporter. NFL Films pulled the plug.”

Well, well, well. Take THAT, haters! Put that in your pipes and smoke it! This news - if true - changes everything.

Jordon Hudson demanding editorial control over a successful, long-running TV franchise and a piece of NFL Films' intellectual property doesn't seem so nefarious once you realize she could be engaged to become Mrs. Bill Belichick now, does it? What sounded like control-freaking of the highest order comes off as just a future wife having her future husband's back when it's in this context. What was once very Lady MacBeth becomes Juliet looking out for her Romeo once there's a true commitment involved. A true partnership in both the business:

… and romantic sense.

Obviously a lot has to happen for this to be confirmed. So stay tuned on that. But if it is, and these two crazy, heart-eyed kids decide to jump the broom and make it official, just remember who believed in them all along. I'm the one who embraced this love story from Day 1. I'm the one who believed this fairy tale couple would get their Happily Ever After. And now it looks like it could very well happen. Knots will be tied. Rings placed on fingers. The real kind of championship rings you get when you win at life. And when it does happen, I know just the officiant who'd be proud to volunteer his services:

It's the least I can do as a fan of these two lovebirds, and them as a couple. If anyone objects to this union, forever hold your peace walking, buddy. I'm here for all of it.
