'I'm Not A Clown!' - Ange Postecoglou Shut Down A Reporter, Delivered An Incredible Rant About Tottenham's Season Being Based On Europa League's Final

This is not an all-time rant. It's not Jim Mora's playoffs or Mike Gundy's I'm 40, but that's not to say it isn't great. Hitting someone with I'm not a clown is the best way to prove you're not a clown. Now, just the backstory here, this all stems from this reporter basically saying Ange is teetering on being a hero or clown based on what happens against Man U in the Europa League Final tomorrow. 

Make no mistake about it, Tottenham blows this year. Part of it was injury, part of it was just blowing games, either way it's as bad of a Premier League season we've seen. I say this as someone who made the mistake of choosing Tottenham as my Premier League team back in 2006, mostly just to piss off my buddy in college who is an Arsenal fan and I watched games with. The payoff hasn't been great, in fact it hasn't been close to great. Yeah, Luca Moura against Ajax was awesome but then there was the handball in the Champions League final against Liverpool. Still think it's a bullshit call, but welcome to supporting Tottenham. 

At the same time, we know the story. Tottenham doesn't win trophies. Trust me, it's said all the time so saying it again basically has no impact on me as a fan anymore. That can all change tomorrow. Beat Manchester United in Spain and get the Europa League final and we can move on from sitting in 17th place in the Premier League. I do love that this was just sitting in Ange's belly and waited for the reporter to ask him anything so he can go on this rant about not being a clown. That's really the key to having a great press conference rant. You need the one line that people remember, the one line that sticks out. It has to be quick and to the point. 

Whatever now though. Let's go win a trophy tomorrow. For the love of God, just win one trophy, I don't even care if it's Europa League, it still counts.
