You might remember that Robbie Fox tweet from last year, THE PRIME RIB HEARD ROUND THE WORLD! That simple yet sultry pic from Mr. Fox went mega viral to the tune of 8 million views and certainly inspired a line around the block of NYC Eataly for a few weeks.

But before I fit their entire Italian penis down my throat, I need to maintain journalistic integrity and add that Robbie's sandwich experience hasn't always lived up to the hype for everyone out there.

I'd say it's absolutely fair to ask for a new sandwich when you're specifically coming in for a viral sensation. You can't get let down like that. It's a big reason why I was so damn impressed and retroactively so very fine with waiting 3 hours for the 9.2 score Ceres pizza. When A+ food hits, it HITS. And makes any arduous effort to get it immediately forgotten.

You deserve to be selfish about getting that exact experience. I say bitch away, respectfully.

Has Robbie Fox been the secret food whisperer in HQ this whole time? What a title. RIP Stool Scenes. But I'm glad Large & Clem enjoyed their trip because I did the same last fall, only to get a dry subpar sandwich like that Dogwalk guy. Now because I'm a massive pussy and also didn't have any perspective on what made a prime rib sammie good or bad, I just ate it. Literally and metaphorically.

Maybe I'm due for another taste test, but at the very least I will agree that picture from Robbie belongs in the goddamn Louvre. An image so pure even a vegan might shed a happy tear and chow down ASAP. That's the beauty of food, tomorrow could be the day your taste buds are honored in Valhalla. To anyone heading out to Eataly this weekend, I hope you are honored by the Immortan of Salted Meats.
