Jordon Hudson's Engagement is Practically Confirmed by Her Cheerleading Championship Being Included On His Boat 'VIII Rings'

Well if this hasn't been a day of breaking news. First this:
And now this:
Source - Bill Belichick's beloved boat just got a new paint job … and the fresh coat is only fueling the rumors he and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, are engaged.
Check out some images of the sparkling vessel TMZ Sports obtained on Tuesday -- you can see Bill's water whip, which used to be dubbed "Eight Rings" in honor of all his Super Bowl titles, is now being called "One Plus Eight Rings."
Graphics on the side of the ride show eight rings now encircle the bottom of the R in the boat's name, while another ring wraps around the upper portion of the letter. It's, of course, not yet known what the additional ring stands for … but it's hard not to speculate it perhaps represents an engagement ring he potentially gave to Hudson in recent months.
With all due respect to the honorable journos at TMZ, why speculate? That ninth ring could represent Jordon and Bill's engagement. But just as likely, it represents her own championship:
As the kids say, or better yet, as they said 20 years ago, game recognizes game. Belchick is a champion. Hudson is a champion. There's room enough on his fishing boat/pleasure yacht for both of them to acknowledge they're both winners on a national scale. Him when it comes to building a Dynasty out of the scraps of one of the most downtrodden franchises in all of North American pro sports. Her when it comes to building human pyramids, synchronized dancing, and inspiring pep throughout a stadium. Steel sharpens steel, and these two are creating Hitori Hanzo blades in one another.
Now I've never been a boat owner. I love boats, but I don't want to buy one nearly as much as I want to make friends with someone who owns one. Then I get enough enjoyment for the cost of however many drinks I have to bring with me.

But I do know this. Captains are very, very apprehensive about changing the name of their ships. It's considered bad luck. And there are no more superstitious people in the world than seamen. As Capt. Jack Aubrey puts it in the great Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World when his friend and ship's doctor dismisses the crew's belief in jinxes, "Not everything is in your books, Stephen." So there's no better way for Belichick to express his commitment to his (possible) fiance than to change the name of his, sailor's superstition be damned.
The way things are going for these two love birds, we can only assume this boat will become XI Rings after their (rumored) wedding, and then XII Rings, once he leads the UNC Tar Heels to a Natty. That is, unless Jordon beats him to it with a Miss USA or another Cheer Championship. Either way, winners love winners.
