It's A Dark Day In The NFL As A Bunch Of Loser Owners Are Finally Going To Ban The Tush Push Because The Eagles Are Too Good At It

The reason why the Eagles, and Philly fans, have been so defensive over the Tush Push isn't because the Eagles need it to be successful. We've all been defending the Tush Push so staunchly out of principle. It's shockingly soft of the other 31 teams around the league to lie and manipulate the narrative around "player safety" when it comes to the tush push instead of just telling the truth. That every other is afraid of how well the Eagles run the play, and they're jealous that they haven't found a way to execute it at that level.

The Philadelphia Eagles did not win the Super Bowl because of the Tush Push. They don't need the tush push to be a successful team that bullies the shit out of their opponents in the trenches. I'd argue that more often than not when the Eagles run the Tush Push, the "pushing" aspect of the play isn't even necessary. The offensive line does their job to immediately blow up the defensive line, and Jalen Hurts can power his way through that wall. You take the Tush Push away from the Eagles and they are still converting 90% on 4th & 1.

But it's the fact that it's teams like the Packers and Commanders, who have both gotten their asses whooped by the Eagles, want to get rid of the play because they haven't found a way to stop it. It's the fact that teams like the Bills hate the play because they haven't found a way to run it.

It's just a shame the NFL is letting a bunch of losers penalize the Eagles just because they don't think it's fair how good they are at running a play. But this is the difference between the Eagles, and other pathetic organizations like the Packers. The Eagles will find a way to adapt to the new rules, and they'll find a way to continue being as efficient as possible picking up short yardage plays. They won't bitch and moan. They won't cry foul. They'll get back to work and continue what they do best. This isn't a bad day for the Eagles, but it's certainly a bad day for the league.

P.S. -- This just means Saquon is going to have 7-8 more touchdowns next year.
