Brittney Griner Capped Off An Epic Week by Walking Away During An Interview To Scream At A Ref To "Be Fucking Better" Live On Air

CBS - The Atlanta Dream were looking to get back to .500 on the young season when they hosted the Dallas Wings on Saturday, and while they held a seven-point lead going into the halftime break, star center Brittney Griner wasn't in a particularly good mood.

Griner had 10 points and five boards at the half, but an offensive foul called on her with 90 seconds to play was at the top of her mind as she got ready to head to the locker room. Griner stopped for an interview with CBS Sports Network as she walked off the court, but wasn't going to let an interview prevent her from letting the refs know how she felt about that late call as they left the floor.

Griner walked away from the interview to talk about the hold she got called for and was not satisfied with what she heard back from the referee, ending the discussion with a firm "be f---ing better!" before returning to answer some questions.

That's just what bosses do.

You don't like the heat? Then stay out of the kitchen. WBNA Fever. Catch it.

That loud sound you hear is the sound of retraction.

Back in October, I penned a pretty decent blog about American Hero-turned-prisoner-turned-hero, Brittney Griner. Titled, The "Merchant Of Death" For Brittney Griner Trade Is Looking Like We Got Swindled As He's Back To Selling Arms To The Yemen Houthis, While Griner Is Only Averaging 17.8 Points Per Game

Sadly, it didn't live up to the editorial standards of that of such awarded journalistic literature as "Ranking Star Wars Characters Based On Their Rizz". But just know that, had it been published, and had you read it, you would have seen me call this trade a fucking laugher. A landslide that of which these eyes hath not seen since Stevie and Lindsay were on good terms.

But not in the sense that you're most likely thinking.

I cockily espoused that we had taken a bath by trading The Merchant of Death for Griner.

Griner was washed up. A has been.

Old Viktor still has so many more solid years left in him. Guy was just hitting his stride when we was take in and locked away for life because of the hundreds of thousands of deaths he has blood on his hands for.

Welp, I wrong. Dead wrong.

I would love to see what kind of week he's had. Not even in the same hemisphere as Brittney Griner's.

On Thursday, Brittney faced off against the new WNBA flavor of the month, Caitlin Clark, and the Indiana Fever. She was kicking their ass, before she got kicked out for a bullshit 6th foul, and went to the bench pissed off. Rightfully so.

The woke about the woke media crowd out there want everybody to believe Brittney was making a racial insult here because that's what they do. They're all wrong.

I didn't see anybody say anything about Caitlin pulling a LeBron, and flopping to draw a foul on a clean screen by Griner.

Disgraceful. There's no place in the game for that.

And don't even get me started on Caitlin's thuggery against Angel Reese a few nights prior with that uncalled four flagrant foul.

But anyway, back to the game tonight, and Griner losing her composure. Ever the class act, Brittney did apologize for losing her temper.

Then went out and lead her to an 83-75 victory, capping off a tumultuous week. All in a day's work though for the face of the league Brittney Griner.
