Manny Ramirez Wants a Job, "I Am Confident I Can Help Any Team Significantly Improve Their Offense", Somebody Please Hire Manny Ramirez

I don't know what type of settings Héctor Gómez has on this tweet that won't allow me to embed it into the blog, but you've seen Manny Ramirez swing a baseball bat before. Even at 52 years old, here's a rough approximation of what it looks like.

I'm not exactly sure what makes a great hitting coach. Obviously the ability to communicate the game to your players, work with different swings, identify things that work some players that wouldn't so much work for others, etc. But I know being one of the greatest hitters in the history of Major League Baseball isn't a bad thing to have on your resume either.

Still working on his swing

Career batting average of .312. His longevity was insane, for 16 straight years (1995-2010), he didn't once finish the season below .290.

"He's one of the most gifted hitters I've ever seen. He was almost like a savant. As a hitter, when he left the batter's box, all bets were off. Just hoping when he got to first, he made a left. But in the batter's box, man, he was light-years ahead of most of the other guys."- Terry Francona
