Today In Airplane News ... A Pigeon Flew Through The Cabin
NY Post- Chaotic footage shows the frantic moment a pigeon burst onto a Delta Airlines plane Saturday as passengers tried to capture the rogue bird.
A passenger attempted to grab the fluttering ball of feathers with an article of clothing as other flyers screamed in the background, according to video obtained by news outlets.
The pigeon, which was eventually captured, was second of two that emerged on the Wisconsin-bound plane at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, WCCO News reported.
“The pilot gets on and says, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, we have a wildlife situation on the plane,'” passenger Tom Caw told the outlet.
I'm trying to figure out which way to go here to see if I want to set myself to be ridiculed because of the lawnmower fiasco this weekend.
Okay, I have decided to have my comment that could lead to abuse for later. For now let's talk about just how wild of a run airplanes are on. I feel like everyday it's something new- whether it's a fight, people having no clue how to get through security, Newark airport being stuck in 1985, people going bonkers over reclining their seats, the list goes on and on and on and on and on. Literally everyday it feels like something is going wrong with our planes and airports. Just a bizarro world in the friendly skies.
This one was a new one though, a fucking bird flying through the cabin. Now you could say, well of course a bird would make its way into a plane being that they fly outside, and planes are outside. Duh. But I would counter to say, have you seen how tight they set up the little tunnel thingy when you board? It's literally just the door, and they have those curtains or whatever right up against it, so I think it's impossible for even a bird to sneak through that little gap. I'm baffled how this one got in there, but as I said it was only amount of time because planes are bizzaro world. And honestly, can we send this bird to Gitmo? I don't trust this bird. You know how some people think birds are actually government drones? Well what if this one went rogue? Or is an Al Qaeda bird? Can never know for sure these days.
Now for the part where I could be abused....
Maybe it's being a shithead New Yorker, but was anyone else shocked that Minneapolis has pigeons? I thought they were exclusive to NYC. It felt like our little thing. Rats with wings, but our rats with wings. I feel upset that pigeons are statewide. On the flip side, maybe this was a rogue pigeon who had to fly away from NYC and entered in witness protection. We'll never know, but I for one am shocked that pigeons are anywhere other than NYC. Learn something new everyday.
