MUST WATCH: Fella Looks Like He Was Shot Out Of A Cannon Falling Down Hill At Annual Cheese Rolling Festival In England
I usually don't mess around with "MUST WATCH" tags. I realize and respect how sacred they are. But holy fucking balls. Let's check in on a few other angles here.
If you're unfamiliar with the Cheese Rolling Festival, it's an annual event in Gloucester where a bunch of Brits go flying down a hill chasing a wheel of cheese. It falls under the category of "dudes rock". Perhaps the most simple, yet completely fucked version of an extreme sport as you could come up with. Every year, you have at least a few dozen folks tumbling and eating shit down a hill.
But our lad right here? It looks like he just got launch out of a car wreck going 100 mph. It looks like he was tossed out of a cannon down that hill. Honestly it's impressive that he was able to reach that speed to begin with before he completely lost control. A few backflips later and his limp body rolling down the rest of the hill, and I'm even more impressed that he's still alive. Apparently two people were taken to the hospital this year, and I'd imagine this bloke was one of them. But there weren't any reports of any deaths, so it seems like we're good to go here.
Anyway, I don't know how they decide who wins the Cheese Rolling Festival. My guess is whoever catches the wheel of cheese first. But if we're talking about who sent it the hardest? You have to give the nod to this crash dummy. Get the man a stunt job in Hollywood or something. Once he regains the ability to walk again.
