A Fan Running On The Field Last Night During The Yankees-Angels Game Nearly Had The Perfect Escape

Fans running on the field will always get my attention. Does that say more about me than anything else? Probably, but hey sue me, I find it entertaining. I mean who doesn't love a streaker?

Broadcasts despise these moments and view the streakers as the lowest of low. They'll do anything to not show what's happening in hopes it doesn't encourage others to participate in such acts. Luckily for us at home, humans have a crippling addiction to their phones and feel compelled to film everything at a sporting event. That's how we get this kind of footage below from last night's Yankees-Angels game. Now it's tough to call this person a streaker since they had on all their clothes, but the clips are great.

What a stutter step juke he put on the dude in yellow. I mean you wanna talk about leaving someone in the dust? Get that man a stretcher. If you're gonna go through with running on the field you gotta come away with a highlight like that otherwise what's the point? Well done by this fella.

What's fascinating about these moments is how they end. Usually you see the "streaker" get hit sticked by a few security guards who wait their entire lives for this moment. They leave it all out there and aim to destroy the culprit's bones. But how about this guy? He had an escape planned out and he nearly got away with it. Unfortunately he lost his balance once he leaped over the wall and fell into a seat. That allowed the other security guy in black to snatch him out of there and back onto the field. What a move that was.

I love Cody Bellinger's reaction to all of this unfolding before his very eyes. If I were to guess, he was contemplating in those few seconds whether this guy was real or if he was imagining things.

Deciding what's real and what's fake has to be a daily activity for Cody when you think about it

Good win and sweep for the Yankees. 35-20 and comfortably in first place. Not much to complain about these days.

P.S. Michael Kay called the fan running on the field "senseless" and I haven't stopped giggling about that line since
