No Offense To Ryan Williams, But He Doesn't Belong On The Same Video Game Cover As Jeremiah Smith
Look I'll be honest, I don't want to write this blog. Ryan Williams seems like a nice enough person and through the first few weeks of last season, he seemed like a nice enough player. I don't want to personally attack a kid that I don't know. But yesterday, when I accurately pointed out that self-proclaimed "huge Michigan fan" and Senior Producer of EA Sports, Rob Jones, misused his power once again by orchestrating a character assassination attempt on Ohio State:
Say I'm overreacting. Say I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. Say whatever you want. But make sure you say it to Kenyatta Jackson, too. Because he's the one who EA Sports decided to get shook by a true freshman who has never even taken a snap in college football.
It was purposeful and hurtful. No other way to put it.
Now, the main response has been "how can Tate be so upset with EA Sports when they put Jeremiah Smith on the cover of the game????" My response to you is, even THAT was a shot. Because they made him fucking share the cover with RYAN WILLIAMS.
Again, this is not an attack blog on Ryan Williams but if it were I'd show his game log since October 18th:

1 touchdown over the last 6 games? Meanwhile Jeremiah Smith was turning in 5 touchdowns over the course of the College Football Playoff as he was on his way to winning the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Where was Ryan Williams? On the couch.
All I'm saying is that Jeremiah Smith is a generational talent that will go #1 overall in the NFL Draft. Ryan Williams is a pretty good player that had 8 catches for 98 yards…..over his last 3 games total. EA Sports knows this and put them on the cover together just to irk Ohio State fans.
