History! The Rockies Officially Become The First Team Ever To Reach 50 Losses Before Winning 10 Games

This is something I've been keeping an eye on for a few weeks now. I've been waiting to see if the Colorado Rockies would get to 50 losses before they got to 10 wins and oh my goodness they did it!. 9-50 on June 1st after getting swept by the Mets, safe to say this isn't the the Rockies year. This was something that I was looking at a few weeks ago, I didn't think they'd get there, I thought maybe they'd get a win or 2 in a row but nope, it's been a free fall all season for the Rocks. Hell even the 2024 White Sox were way past 10 wins at this point, they were 15-43 through 58 games. Calendar flipped to June and they're still looking for win #10, but they do have a pitcher named Antonio Senzatela who is 1-10. 10 losses for a pitcher before the team gets to 10 wins is truly incredible.

Good for them for making history, it's just not the side you want to be on. And you do have to give it to the Rockies, they have LOOKED better the last few weeks, a few bad innings here or there but they played the Cubs really well and mostly played well vs the Yankees. You just have to wonder HOW bad it's going to be. 6-26 start, 3-24 since that, 2-16 since firing Bud Black, 22 straight series losses, I truly don't know what else could go wrong for them. They're bad, they know it, we know it, they're on pace to shatter the worst record in MLB history and truly have nothing going for them. Well they do play the Marlins next, that certainly could be a winnable series, right? RIGHT?!

50 losses before 10 wins, truly remarkable. I'm fairly confident this is a new mark we will never see broken again. Just no way another team can be THAT bad, right? Congrats Colorado, proud of you guys!
