Mt. Etna Erupted Again And The Footage Is Insane

Source - "The most recent eruption took place on the Festa della Repubblica (Republic Day) national holiday in Italy, meaning more people were out and about when the eruption occurred.

The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology Observatory said there has not been an eruption of this magnitude at Mount Etna since 2014, according to CNN."

Mt Etna is the most active volcano in Italy so you can't really be surprised when it starts to erupt but what a way to ruin a vacation!!! One second you're sipping a negroni, the next second ash is flying at you from all angles.

And even though it did happen on an Italian holiday, it does seem like nobody was harmed.

A volcano erupting almost seems cartoonish to me, I could never imagine seeing one in real life. It's one of those things we know exists but 99% of us will never actually know what it's like to be around a volcano actually erupting. Plus, the people in those videos are SO CLOSE!!! They should have been a little more panicked. You can't take volcanoes lightly, not a mistake you can make, in my scientific opinion.
