If You Have An Issue With The Celebration On This Softball Inside-The-Park Home Run, Then You Are What Experts Refer To As A "Giant Loser"

"Giving a shit" is quickly becoming a lost art with the youth of America. Kids these days are barely allowed to show any sign of emotion or passion without running the risk of getting called out for "aura farming". It's creating an entire generation of kids who act nonchalant about everything because they think that caring is for losers. "Aura farming" might be the worst concept ever invented when all is said and done.

Thank god there are still some kids out there like this girl laying down a bunt and turning it into an inside-the-park home run in the Texas High School State Championship game. That's the type of passion you want every kid playing the game with. That's when you know it actually means something more than just a game.

I've said this before but there's nothing that can replicate the passion of playing high school sports. Especially when we're talking about public school. You get a chance to play for the town that raised you. You get a chance to play with all your friends you grew up with. I get it's easy to laugh at the guy who is stuck in his glory days, but there's something special about high school sports. And when something is that special to you, maybe you get a little caught up in the moment and let the opposing catcher hear about it. There's nothing wrong or malicious about that. It's being fired up about making a play for your team and friends more than it is about taunting the opposing team.

Moral of the story here is that we need more kids who care this much. I don't know any actual statistics on this one but I'll go to my grave believing that more often than not, student athletes go on to be more successful in life than kids who don't grow up playing sports. And the ones who care this much grow into adults who care that much. And they're the ones who make the world go round. So if you have a problem with this girl screaming in the catcher's face, then that's a you problem.
