Something To Play For: Derrick Henry Gets To Have A Role In An Adam Sandler Movie If He Runs For 2,000 Yards This Season

This right here is what we call valuable information. I don't care if you're a fantasy football player, looking to bet rushing leaders, week-to-week, whatever it might be. There's now something for Derrick Henry to play for, well, at least outside of a Super Bowl ring. The guy loves Adam Sandler because it's the correct answer here. Adam Sandler is arguably the most influential actor for us who grew up in the 90s mostly because of how many quotes from Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Wedding Singer, Waterboy, etc have been said. 

It's also smart to say it to Dan Patrick, who for sure has some rights to Adam Sandler's casting. They are good friends, Patrick is in Happy Gilmore 2, it makes sense to start it there and grow. In fact this is a no-brainer when we eventually get Waterboy 2 direct to Netflix. Let Derrick Henry be the school's running back and star player. There's a storyline in there somewhere, but it makes sense. Not to mention we know that Sandler will do anything to put his friends in movies. 

I do hope this turns into a thing like Mike Evans and receptions last season. Need it to be the last week of the regular season, last offensive possession and he's sitting on like 1,995 yards. Just watch how many times the Ravens try to jam him the ball. Again, we need to know what sort of role he'd be getting here. I assume it's a cameo so maybe can negotiate it down a bit, but for now we know that Derrick Henry is going to be rushing for 2,000 yards. You don't come up short if it means a trip to probably an awesome island to be in an Adam Sandler movie.
