'Be A Damn Pirate' - The Giants Defense Is Trying To Save This Franchise By Embracing A Motto From A Tee-Ball Team (Seriously)

Goddamnit, this sums up the Giants perfectly right now. Be a damn Pirate is a fine motto, dare I say cool even. But finding out it stems from a tee ball team just ruins it all for me. This defense should be good - I stress should more than anyone has ever stressed anything before. You go and make the moves they did, draft an Abdul Carter, pair him with Dexter Lawrence and there's signs of being a great defense. But this is the Giants we're talking about. I love this franchise, this franchise has been nothing but complete ass for the better part of a decade. Everything goes wrong, even when they win a game.

But if Shane Bowen's son's tee ball team means they start winning games and be competitive, then it's time to let him and Joe Schoen's son run the show. We already know Schoen's son said to draft Jayden Daniels and then this year hinted at Jaxson Dart, so he's a genius. Now it's time to use one of the worst teams in baseball to our advantage. Be a damn pirate, force turnovers, whatever it takes.

I've said it numerous times but the Giants have made me apathetic as a fan. There's nothing worse than fan apathy. I miss being pissed off at this team for doing something dumb, now I just expect it. That changed a little bit after the Draft. There's some room for hope, mostly because they made the smart pick at 3 and got a quarterback. At least we're getting some real fights

Good news is it was only the heat

Be a damn Pirate or whatever. Just win games and don't be an embarrassment. Print the shirts.
