Monday Summer Hypothetical: Would You Take A Ton Of Rain During The Week If It Meant Every Weekend Was Nice?

As I write this on a Rainy Monday, I felt I wanted to gauge the pulse of people's thoughts on this one.

Would you rather take a ton of rain during the week if it meant every weekend was nice?

Now I think there's a ton of factors to consider here. The biggest one is age. As a kid it's the weekdays that literally make your summer. Wake up, don't even care what day it is, help yourself to cereal and head out on a bike to meet your friends and come back for dinner. Basketball camps, trips to the beach, pool clubs, water balloon fights literally whatever you wanted to do as a kid. Weekends were a bonus but weekdays were what you lived for.

In High School I think it's kind of the same. You are working a little bit during the day at some job just to have a few bucks in your pocket and be out of your parents hair, but weekday nights were always awesome in high school. Someone's got a party in the woods, out in the neighborhood, cruising around aimlessly in someone's car who just got a license. Weekends were a bonus but I think you much rather take the 5 days being able to do whatever you want in nice weather.

College ...I think you begin to work more so you relied more on the weekends as an escape.

Then right after college, without a doubt you take the rain during the week and have those weekends at a shore house or a lake or whatever. No doubt in my mind you want the clear weekends. You literally LIVE for those weekends at those houses.

Now for full adult life, which as I assume most of our readers have entered is sort of where it gets tricky. You are working every day during the week, and rely on the weekends so much as an escape. However, are you willing to take shit weather every day and night which affects the fact that you can't grill a nice meal on your deck, all your golf outings or golf days during the week are shot, can't take a dip in the pool after a long day, can't sit in the yard, etc. Is all of that worth having just two nice days on the weekend?

Me personally, I think it's really way to hard to choose on a snap judgement but after careful consideration I think I would want my weekends clear, yet even as I type this I think I made the wrong choice.

I actually don't know which percentage of people lean which way. I could see it being pretty split down the middle, which makes it such an intriguing argument, which makes me ask, would you rather have a shitty weather week or shitty weather weekend?

I do know one thing ... rain sucks in the summer no matter when it is, make it go away.
