Dudes Rock - These Oregon State Baseball Fans Were The Real Winners This Weekend After Going Viral For Building Their Own Beer Wall Behind Home Plate

This is the ultimate "Dudes Rock" scene. Oregon State had their home fans show up in a big way, got a ton of support from beaver nation, so much so they even had a beer dam built behind home plate in the stands.. The games were great, it was a fun series, but all anyone could talk about was the beer wall, and rightfully so. It looked like Wade Boggs' airplane seat by the top of the 3rd inning, these guys were putting in some serious work.

How do we think these OSU fans celebrated advancing to Omaha? If this is any indication of how they get down they may have had a keg waiting for the celebration postgame. 8 beers by the top of the 3rd? That's a mortgage payment at some of these games too, you know those beers aren't cheap. But these are the diehard fans, they don't care how much they spend at a ballgame, they just want to get shithoused and watch their team advance, which they did. Successful weekend for these guys.

Naturally the NCAA had to step in and cancel any fun and had the guys take it down, they ended up being able to put them back up and kept building that wall. I don't know if the NCAA wasn't thrilled with the display of binge drinking going on, the logos, or if it was safety thing, but last time I checked you can't get in trouble for being awesome at drinking beer, so they let them put it back up. Fucking NCAA, always trying to stop folks from having fun. I do wish we saw one foul ball go back there and knock out the whole wall, that would have been a great scene, but just their building skills alone were enough to help you appreciate the work and effort these guys were doing.

I can only imagine how they are feeling this morning. You drink collectively 30,000 beers on national TV and then have to head into work on Monday where everyone in your office knows what you did. Should make for an interesting afternoon in the office. Not only is this a big week for the baseball teams, it's a massive week for the beer vendors in Omaha too. This is their World Series as well, especially with these guys making the trip I'd assume. Let us pray that they're allowed to make the beer wall in Omaha, if it's not allowed I don't see how Oregon State has a chance. But if the beer wall is there, OSU has to be the favorite going forward. Long live the beer dam, go Beavs.
