Send Out The Smoke Patrol For The Sister Of Red Sox Superstar Prospect Roman Anthony

If you're a Red Sox fan these are incredibly exciting times. Sure, just a few weeks ago things were bleak when Alex Bregman went down and every starter not named Garrett Crochet was getting their shit rocked out on the mound. Cora couldn't make a single correct bullpen/pinch-hitting move to save his life. You also had an ongoing cloud following Rafael Devers regarding where he should/wants to play, creating more and more of a distraction by the day. Things have taken a turn for the better as the big three of Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, and Kristian Campbell have invaded the big league lineup. Yes Campbell has been up all season, but the other two didn't join the party until just recently. This injection of youth has appeased the fanbase, finally giving them what they want. Now at least the fans have the future to look forward to. At the very least you'll get a developmental year for this crop and build towards legitimate contention in 2026 and beyond. No brainer stuff that took the minds of John Henry and Craig Breslow way too long to figure out.

Anthony's debut the other night was a massive deal for multiple reasons. First of all, he's the number one prospect in baseball. His arrival should have happened by now, but the Sox decided to manipulate his service time in hopes he doesn't finish top 2 in rookie of the year voting, costing them a year of control. Wilyer's injury forced their hand and now it's show time. He not only helps the team right now, but he also gives fans a reason to go to the ballpark.

Last night he had his family sitting right next to the Sox dugout. Kind of a wild move for them to be that close, no? Helicopter parents much?

Also comical that his grand father, father, and brother are all named Anthony Anthony. That's just good ol' vintage Italian stuff right there.

Roman wasted no time in the game collecting his first hit of his career, a clean double down the left field line to drive in two. Yeah this man is gonna terrorize my life for the next 15 years.

But I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't put some recognition on a certain someone who was watching with the Anthony family. The NESN camera operators knew the assignment.

You're welcome.

I don't care for this family one bit as they will be the bane of my existence. Still gotta laugh at almost everyone being named Anthony Anthony.
