ALL HAIL KING LEON: Leon Draisaitl Is The Clutchest Man To Ever Live, Caps Off Insane Oilers Comeback Win In Overtime Of Game 4

It was time for the Edmonton Oilers to start thinking about their exit interviews. Game 4 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final was just 20 minutes old, and it looked like this one was so far beyond over. There wasn't a world where the Oilers should have been able to climb themselves out of the hole they put themselves in.

Down 3-0 in the 1st period after giving up two powerplay goals? Literally speaking, no team had ever dug themselves out of that deep of a hole in the history of the Stanley Cup Final.

It was over. 3 penalties in the period, 3 goals against, Stuart Skinner looking like a newborn who was just realizing he has arms and legs for the first time, Evander Kane continuing to enjoy his favorite seat in the house in the penalty box. Everything looked like the Oilers were well on their way to getting their dicks ripped off their body for a 2nd straight game.

But let's not forget how much the Florida Panthers love blowing 3-0 leads.

In comes Pickard for Skinner just to find a spark. First it was Nugent-Hopkins on the powerplay just to give the Oil a little bit of life. Then it was Darnell Nurse making up for his idiotic penalty in the 1st period that gave the Panthers a 2-man advantage for their first goal. Then Podkolzin. Before you knew it, we were deep into the 3rd period and the Edmonton Oilers somehow managed to take the lead after Jake Walman scored his 2nd goal of the playoffs.

From down 3-0, to up 4-3 with just under a minute to go. But obviously it could never be that easy. These are the Edmonton Oilers we're talking about. If they're going to win a game, they're going to do it the hardest way possible. So with 20 seconds left, Sam Reinhart sent this bitch to yet another overtime.

Game 4 of this series, and we're going to overtime for the 3rd time already.

There are plenty of guys on the ice who are killers. Plenty of superstar players who have the ability to clutch up and end the game at any given moment. But there is only one Leon Draisaitl.

4 overtime daggers in these playoffs so far. His two biggest obviously coming in the Stanley Cup Final. The game 1 hero. The game 4 hero. The most insanely clutch mutant on planet Earth right now.

The game looked like it was over after the 1st period. The Florida Panthers were well on their way to putting the Edmonton Oilers in a 3-1 series chokehold going back to Canada. But Leon Draisaitl is a freak, and the Edmonton Oilers find a way to turn this into a best-of-3 series heading back to Alberta. Unreal.
