Netflix's SEC Football Doc Has a Release Date and It Looks Unbelievable
We're so back. There are still six Saturdays until Week 1 kicks off, but we only have to make it three more weeks until we get this absolute banger thanks to the fine folks at Netflix.
That company has been killing it with sports documentaries recently and none of the subject matter has been remotely as intriguing as an SEC football season. Just the episode following Diego Pavia and Vanderbilt leading up to the game against Alabama would be worth it on its own. I haven't even seen the show yet and I'm already positive this needs to be filmed every season. They're on what has to be the 13th season of Drive To Survive it seems, so just take that same approach and own the SEC football documentary space.
And the fact that there are undoubtedly fans of Big Ten schools — and of the conference as a whole, which I've never actually encountered amongst SEC fans, but that's a discussion for another day — out there whining and asking why there isn't a Big Ten show makes it even sweeter. Maybe Paramount+ will pick that one up next year.
Soak it in, folks. We're close.
