'He's Nowhere All-Time' - Randy Moss Doesn't Want To Hear Anyone List Tyreek Hill As One Of The Elite Wide Receivers In NFL History

This is 100% the correct way to talk and we need more people to be open like Randy Moss. We live in a world where everyone has to call someone all-time great, GOAT, legend, whatever word you want to put here. We're constantly trying to talk about guys who are really good, great even, into this next category. Not saying there aren't guys out there who will be there - looking at a Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase type start to careers - but we all gotta stop doing the all-time talk.

He's also not wrong. Tyreek Hill is/was a great receiver but for sure not an all-time guy. You're not putting him in the same breath as a Jerry Rice, Randy Moss or even a Calvin Johnson type guy. It's also damn near impossible when you just go stats vs what you see, even more so with the extra games now. I'd throw in guys like Marvin Harrison and Isaac Bruce and Andre Johnson as guys I'd take over Tyreek Hill. That's before you get to some of he older guys like Cris Carter, Lance Alworth, Art Monk, Steve Largent and those guys. Moss does give Hill credit, I don't think he's top-5 going into this season, but if you told me he's had one of the top-5 careers of active players, sure, I'll listen to that argument. Again, Tyreek Hill has been a great receiver, that would be dumb to say otherwise. Dude is going to be in the Hall of Fame, put up video game numbers, but you're talking about the elite of the elite in the history of the sport and he's not there. Ain't nothing wrong with that, not when you're still damn good.

What I do love even more though? Randy's answer about the best wide receiver ever

[Source] - Speaking to the media at an event for his restaurant that’s now paired with the Dolphins for concession stands at Hard Rock Stadium, Moss noted that the “political answer” for the best receiver of all time is Jerry Rice. However…

“If we’re talking real football, where I knock your ass out, it’s me,” Moss said, via David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Love it. Gotta throw in the fact that if you want to talk real football, it's Randy Moss. I think Randy Moss is the most talented wide receiver I've ever seen. Again, you're talking stats vs talent and everything else like that, Moss had it all. This doesn't even feel like Shaq talking about current players, where he'll openly shit on them. This feels way more true and just honest talk from Randy Moss.
