The Surf Lodge Is Officially Too Cool For Waka Flocka Flame After Refusing Him Entry Over The Weekend For Showing Up With Too Many People

Before we get into the guts of this story let me just say that The Surf Lodge needs to be humbled. I've been there, it's a blast once you get over the fact that the chicken tenders are ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS, but at end of the day it's just a bar. A bar that at times can feel more like an Instagram opportunity for influencers, pseudo influncers, and nepo babies than a place where people actually go to have fun. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, that's the vibe they're going for and it's clearly worked.) The said, The Surf Lodge is about saying you went to The Surf Lodge - that's it. They have done a fantastic job of marketing themselves to the types of people they want to let in the door and because of that, bussiness is BOOMIN'. It's about being seen…not seen out. Enter Waka Flocka Flame…

Source - Waka Flocka Flame and his entourage got bounced from Surf Lodge on Sunday after a fiery altercation with staff at the Montauk hotspot, sources tell Page Six.

Spies say the “No Hands” rapper and a 14-person posse rolled up as fire marshals were holding the crowd at the entrance to the restaurant and club, and attempted bypass them by going through a side entrance.

A source tells us a security guard stopped Wakka and his flock and told the crew they couldn’t go in that entrance — but the message didn’t go over well.

Another security guard stepped in, we’re told, prompting one of Waka’s crew to snarl, “Your size doesn’t intimidate us.”

The group eventually was allowed inside, we’re told, and managers tried to defuse the situation, reminding them the security guard was just doing his job. We hear the club was ready to let the rap star and his friends enjoy the party. But Waka wasn’t letting it go, says the spy.

I'll admit that when initially read the headline I was team Wakka, but the more I dove into the actual article the more I realized that he probably fucked up. Even though it is 100% preposterous to deny him entry, he should've never underestimated the (literal) gate keeping abilities of folks at Surf Lodge. Take this girl, for example, who almost wasn't let in because the hostess refused to believe that she was a model…

In defense of the host, models are usually tall, but that's beside the point. More on Wakka…

“He stormed back outside to continue yelling at the guard,” said the source.

A member of Waka’s group allegedly shouted a homophobic slur during the heated exchange.

A manager again tried to calm the group, but sources say Wacka snapped: “I’m worth $20 million. Do you know who I am?”

At that point, we hear the “Hard in Da Paint” rapper was asked to leave.

“The whole thing happened quickly, under three minutes,” said an source.

A source tells us Waka and his team had been invited to the venue after playing a nearby set at Bounce Beach Club, and the venue’s staff had been expecting them.

Surf Lodge management told Page Six the behavior was “not acceptable.”

“It’s simply not okay to treat staff with disrespect no matter who you are,” they said in a statement. “It would have been nice to have him join us for the festivities, but not at the cost of mistreating [our] teammates.”

A rep for Waka did not respond to request for comment.

So yeah, maybe don't show up to the most packed bar in Montauk with a thousand people and "allegedly shout a homophobic slur" because you're upset about the line. That's how you end up on Page Six, bruh. Hopefully Waka and SL have smoothed things over and I'm not permanently banned after writing this blog. Time will tell, now here's my favorite Waka moment of all time. Enjoy…
