Whoops! 'First Take' Fell For A Fake Tweet, Discussed George Pickens Catching A TD At Cowboys Practice (The Play Was Brandin Cooks From 2 Years Ago)

The tweet in question:

The real tweet:

Every so often I wonder how the hell things happen. Mostly it's when one of my kids asks some insane question and I have no idea how to answer or where to start, but this isn't one of my kids. This is ESPN and a flagship show for the SPORTS station. I don't know how you fall for this, but it also sums up where we are in terms of First Take and shit like that all over the place. I'm not saying it's impossible to fall for a fake tweet, but this takes two seconds of research. You just click the tweet and you can see the original. That's it. It's not a Ballsack or Centel or anything stupid like that, it's someone just saying names while taking the video. It doesn't even matter whether you're on your phone, computer, anything, you can see the original tweet pretty easily.

Honestly, a hilarious thing to apologize for. You know they wanted to break down George Pickens catching a touchdown so bad even if the Cowboys didn't start practice yet. You have to play the hits and that starts with a Dak to Pickens (or Brandin Cooks) touchdown pass. Everyone knows training camp practices is where you stay rational and never freak out over what's happening. Gotta love this start if you're a Brandin Cooks fan though. Sure, he might not play for the Cowboys anymore but he's impressive people thanks to a video from 2 years ago.
