Holy Shit...Tammy Slaton Of 1000-Pound Sisters Has Lost An Impossible Amount Of Weight (Over 500-Pounds)

Daily Mail – Tammy Slaton had fans doing a double take after unveiling her jaw-dropping weight loss transformation.

The 38-year-old 1000-Lb. Sisters star — who underwent bariatric surgery in late 2022 followed by skin removal procedures — gave fans a closer look at her progress in a new TikTok photo carousel posted Tuesday.

The series began with sweet close-up shots before revealing the full impact of her 500-pound weight loss: a head-to-toe view of Tammy in a form-fitting black shapewear one-piece that showed off her dramatically slimmed-down figure.

I've always thought the TV show '1,000-Pound Sisters' was pulling a fast one with their branding. You read that title and think you're about to see a 1,000 pound person. And then when you saw Tammy Slaton at her largest, you kinda just assumed she was a 1,000-pound person. But allegedly she topped out at 725. Which is nothing to sneeze at. But I guess "1,000-Pound Sisters" was technically saying that Tammy and her sister COMBINED equated to over 1,000 LBS of sister. So technically they weren't lying. But TLC knew what they were doing.

Still... holy shit. What a transformation. I feel like I could just end the blog right there. I probably should just end it right there. Holy shit. Great for Tammy. I think. Obviously that's healthier than being one of the largest human beings on the planet. But to undergo that drastic of a transformation, whether you're going fat-to-skinny, skinny-to-fat, frail-to-jacked, short-to-tall-by-way-of-crazy-leg-breaking-surgery, whatever it is... to transform THAT much almost doesn't seem healthy in its own right.

It looks like that shouldn't be possible. Not to say Tammy's drastic weight loss happened overnight. I must admit, I'm not a frequent viewer of '1,000-lb Sisters'. I know I'm a bit out of the loop here. I've always known who the 1,000-Pound Sisters were. I loosely knew one of them was having success in her weight loss journey. But I was very unaware of quite how much weight Tammy managed to lose.

Tammy has been incredibly candid about her journey — much of which has been documented on 1000-Lb. Sisters — and back in April, she proudly revealed she was down ‘500 pounds.’

‘When I was at my heaviest, I was 700-plus pounds,’ she shared on the TLC series. ‘Right now, I’m weighing in at 238.’

Tammy even compared her progress to that of her sister, 37-year-old Amy Slaton, who’s lost 176 pounds.

‘Everyone is telling me I look smaller than Amy,’ she said. ‘That’s kind of hard to believe. I can’t believe I did that.’

After hitting her milestone, Tammy revealed in June that she finally underwent skin removal surgery earlier this year.

‘I was just overwhelmed with excitement,’ she told People, recalling the moment she was approved.

‘I worked really hard for this, and now it’s here. I’m pretty sure it was noticeable on my face how immediately shocked and then overwhelmed with joy I was.’

The most recent updated weight I can find for Tammy is 238, but in that most recent picture she looks like she might be even less. Keep in mind she's barely 5-feet tall. She looks under 200-pounds to me. It's incredible what the human body is capable of. Although it's bullshit that the skin doesn't tighten back up to form a little better. I feel like God could have thrown us a bone in that regard. I'm sure people who struggle with their weight use that as an excuse to not get healthier all the time. "Even if I lose 200 pounds, I'm going to be stuck with all that excess skin. I'd rather just be fat"

Not everybody can afford skin removal. And not everybody can afford bariatric surgery and set aside 14-months of their life to lose 400-pounds in a rehab facility.

Tammy spent 14 months at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio, where she lost more than 400 pounds through treatment and bariatric surgery.

But Tammy did it, god damn it. She looks downright unrecognizable. And it appears she's happily engaged. Now she just looks like any other woman from Ohio.

Going from completely immobile to engaged and walking around under your own power has to be a surreal feeling. I'm sure there was a time where Tammy was ready to give up completely. I suppose you pretty much have to have completely given up to even get to the point she was at. But to be able to pull yourself out of that hole… if Tammy is able to be mobile, healthy, and living a normal life after where she was at… then nobody has an excuse. That means anyone can do it. So long as they have the backing of a highly successful reality TV show.
