I Have To Admit, The Man Hanging Off The Back of This U-Haul as The Driver Does Donuts in The Parking Lot Looks Kinda Sick

99% of the time I see anything of this ilk, I think something along the lines of:

"Look at these small penis losers."

"God those guys are so fucking lame."

"That Kirby Smart sure knows how to recruit 'em."

Pretty much any variation of street racing, donuts, or any loud car/motorcycle related shenanigans are annoying as shit. Unless you're the one doing them. At least I would I'd imagine that's the case. I'm a pussy who's never actually fully committed to doing donuts, or attempting to "drift" my vehicle. Unless I'm in a wide open parking lot that's covered in ice. Then maybe I'll get up to about 10 MPH and give a hard break. What a thrill that is. And there was one time back in high school when me and my friend watched a "ghost ride the whip" video. For some reason we thought this was the funniest thing ever.

So we did a brief ghost ride of his whip (Honda Odyssey Minivan) while idling behind the BGSU Ice Arena. But the fact that we were in high school when we thought that was a good idea kinda speaks to my point. In general, I'm usually put-off by any and all reckless driving stunts.

It will also never not be funny to me how they'll just rent a U-Haul to anyone. It's easier to rent a 26-foot U-Haul than it is to rent rent a Toyota Prius. Last time I rented a U-Haul, I accidentally had let my driver's license expire, so we put it under my wife's name. The guy behind the counter overheard us joking about the situation, and he made some crack like, "Ahh you're fine. I've rented these to people without licenses."

I'm guessing most U-Haul rental locations aren't that shady, but still. They just trust U-Haul's to anyone these days.

Case and point: The video at the top of this page. Normally, I would look down on these folks. Because what they're doing is very dumb. It's very reckless. It's very loud. Someone could get hurt. But something about that video... I mean... I'm not going to go as far as condoning such behavior... but I gotta tip my cap. They kinda fucking nailed that. He looked kinda sick hanging off the back of that thing. I very much did not think U-Hauls were capable of doing anything remotely close to that. Whoever was driving that U-Haul sure knows his way around a lot. He nearly had that U-Haul on two wheels. My man on the back of the trailer was staring death in the face. The definition of "full send", as the kids/full-grown adult Nelk Boys would say.  They had the whole damn neighborhood fired up and cheering them along, and the executed it perfectly. At least for the 19-seconds of the video they posted on the internet.

What a moment. What a stupid, reckless, probably-annoying-as-shit-for-anybody-within-a-half-mile-radius-who-wasn't-actively-involved moment. Credit where credit is due.
