Ric Flair Posted A Heartwarming Tribute To Hulk Hogan
I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @HulkHogan! Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father! Our Friendship Has Meant The World To Me. He Was Always There For Me Even When I Didn’t Ask For Him To Be. He Was One Of The First To Visit Me When I Was In The Hospital With A 2% Chance Of Living, And He Prayed By My Bedside. Hulk Also Lent Me Money When Reid Was Sick. Hulkster, No One Will Ever Compare To You! Rest In Peace My Friend!
This was a nice tribute to Hulk Hogan from the Nature Boy. You might be seeing some negativity online today towards HH because in the last 5 years or so the tides have turned against Hulk, both inside wrestling and among fans, as a lot of behind the scenes politics and questionable character flaws have emerged, as well as some terribly racist things he said making people turn on him. But despite his flaws, a lot of great stories are coming out about Hulkster now, including from Ric Flair who knew him as well as most. Everyone seems to say Hogan was a loyal friend who was always there for them. I also liked this from Danielle Moinet's, aka Summer Rae's IG story:
Death is complicated, right? Some people only want to focus on the bad, while others want to highlight what made the person so great. I mostly gravitate towards the latter, while acknowledging the former as well. Life is complicated and it's silly to paint any one person as only one thing when it's much more complex than that. RIP.
