What's Better Than A Normal Home Run Swing? How About Hitting A Homer With A Happy Gilmore Swing!

Happy Gilmore 2 was released this week on Netflix, a nice throwback for all of us born in the '80s and early '90s. Nothing better than a little nostalgia, so that's why it was awesome to see Alex Jackson, the backup catcher for the Orioles come in while the Birds were up 17-0 and pay tribute to arguably one of the funniest and most quotable movies ever. Yes, you're guessing right, Jackson did a Happy Gilmore impression in the batters box and smoked a homer off of Kyle Farmer, a position player.

When you're up 17-0 you can do whatever you want, even if that includes acting like a slow pitch softball player and run up to hit it. But it was too perfect with all the Happy talk this week, so we're going to go with that angle. Maybe the coolest home run swing we've ever seen.

Not much has gone right for the O's this season so you have to take the little wins, like doing this. I mean we've all done it. Anyone who has held a golf club has done the Happy swing, baseball players are the same way. The Bananas are in Baltimore next week so maybe it was a tryout for them or something? Either way it's pretty hilarious to see someone actually do this in a big league game and smoke about ball to center for a homer. I don't care it was against the Rockies or it was a position player, this is hard to do. So there ya go Happy, another tribute to a legend. Hope Jackson got the ball back too, that's one that you want to keep.
