True Love: Nikola Jokic Was Brought To Tears While Watching His Horse Win Yet Another Race

It's been a big time summer for Nikola Jokic when it comes to horses. First, we saw him loving life as he witnessed one of his horses win a race, with of course is the least surprising reaction of all time
Then, while on a press tour in China he was gifted a horse head that was made out of his shoes which he clearly loved more than even the Larry O'Brien trophy based on his reaction
In today's episode of "Nikola Jokic Loves Horses More Than You Love Anything In Your Life", we see Nikola Jokic brought to tears after yet another one of his horses claimed the top spot at the podium
I'm not even kidding, is Jokic not only one of the greatest basketball players to ever walk the Earth, but also one of the best horse owners on the planet? Is he the GOAT of owning a horse? I feel like every summer we get multiple clips of him celebrating another racing victory, so I have no reason to think he isn't among the GOATs in that department either. The proof is in the hardware, and it seems like Jokic is stacking up 1st place horse trophies like they're MVPs.

I continue to love every one of these clips that come out because you can tell how sincere and genuine they really are. Some people might be tired of this whole storyline, but not me. There's just something about seeing Jokic celebrate his one true love that will always bring a smile to my face. He doesn't do it for the clips or to go viral or because this is now a "thing". He does it for the love of the game, and I respect that.
Here's what I also know. I can't shake the feeling that we're about to experience the best NBA version of Nikola Jokic to date. Not only is he playing for his $300M extension (which let's be honest, he's getting regardless), but the Nuggets finally look to have solved their non-Jokic minutes problem with arguably the best roster they've had since their title year. They have shooting, they upgraded the back up big minutes, they have versatility and shot creation, and that alone should have Jokic over the moon and as motivated as ever entering the season. But now you also add in the fact that he's spent all summer watching his horses win races and getting horse head gifts? That leads me to believe his mentality and spirits have never been higher, which can easily translate onto the NBA court. As a reminder, this was the 2024-25 version
Just a little 29.6/12.7/10.2 on 57/41% splits. No big deal. Now imagine that…..but better. What does that even look like? If I were a contending team in the West I sure as shit would not be thrilled about finding out. You could easily make the case that if not for injuries to Aaron Gordon and MPJ in the 2nd round last year against OKC that the Nuggets would have taken down the eventual champs, and given what happened in the East, easily could have snagged Jokic's second ring.
Now he enters the year with great spirits after a summer of winning and an even more loaded NBA roster. Barring injury issues to key guys, the Nuggets feel primed for a great year.
