Bryce Harper Has Fully Transformed Into A True Philadelphian After Telling Rob Manfred To "Get The Fuck Out Of Our Clubhouse"

Getty Images.ESPN -- Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper stood nose to nose with Rob Manfred during a meeting between the Major League Baseball commissioner and the team last week, telling him to "get the f--- out of our clubhouse" if Manfred wanted to talk about the potential implementation of a salary cap, sources told ESPN on Monday.
The confrontation came in a meeting -- one of the 30 that Manfred conducts annually in an effort to improve his relations with every team's players -- that lasted more than an hour.
Bryce Harper is now halfway through his 13-year contract with the Philadelphia Phillies. He's been living in Philadelphia since 2019, and has fully embraced the city. From the sports teams, to the food culture, Bryce Harper has taken in everything it means to be #FromHere.

It doesn't get much more "Philly Man" than that. Everybody is trying to have a nice, productive, civilized conversation. And in comes Bryce to turn the temperature up by a hundred degrees. He's not here to exchange pleasantries. He's not trying to listen to you beat around the bush for an hour. He's going to get right to the point and tell you to go fuck yourself, whether you actually deserve to go fuck yourself or not. But most of the time, you deserve to go fuck yourself.
It's all about firing from the hip. Shoot first, ask questions later. People from Philly view everything as a competition. Maybe Rob Manfred thought he was having this meeting as a conversation. But to Bryce, it was a debate. You can always dial it back a little after telling someone to go fuck themselves. But if you don't start off from a position of power, you'll never have the upper hand during the debate. He needed to come over the top, assert his dominance, and see where to pivot from there.
