I Truly Believe This Is The Worst Missed Strike Call In Baseball History
Every singe night in almost every single game you see an umpire make what you think is the worst call you've ever seen. It's legit every night, you can set your watch to it. But while watching the O's - Blue Jays game on Monday night I truly think I saw the worst missed strike call I've ever seen, I don't think it's possible to miss a call worse than this one. Zach Eflin lays one right down the pipe, I mean legit DOWN THE MIDDLE....yet home plate umpire Brian Walsh did not think it was a strike. I've watched it 50 times and honestly have no idea how or why you call this a strike. I mean look at it....
Hell, even the first pitch! That's a strike. So now you've got a painted corner and a ball right down the dick and it's 2-0. Naturally he got a hit later on after what should have been a strikeout, but that's just umpiring for ya! Take your pick of any game and chances are you'll see some nerdy ass umpire blowing a call worse than he ever has before. ABS can not come soon enough, give me the challenge system to keep these blind losers in check. They refuse to admit they are wrong or mess up so it's time they're held accountable. A call like that is 100% inexcusable, you can't have this happen every single night. Umpires are altering the game every night and it's a problem. It also wasn't just that call, he was brutal all night.
The umpire's union in baseball is by far the best union in sports, these guys blow a game and you won't hear a peep out of them about it. They don't have to apologize for messing up, they don't have to talk to the media, they don't have to sit in a press conference, nothing. They go back to their hotel room and get ready to throw someone out the next day. Rinse and repeat, every night baby. I saw people saying "well Adley has to frame it better" or "well Eflin missed his spot….IT'S RIGHT DOWN BROADWAY! The umpire has to do his god damn job the right way! It's just that simple.
It's gotten so bad that Lasik is even trolling the umpires now, offering free LASIK to all MLB umpires. I can't wait until we're not at the mercy of these guys anymore. I understand why we love the human element of the game and all, but this is stuff that can't happen. Sure, miss a call on the corner or a little low, not on a pitch put right down the middle. Can't happen.

I stand by the original statement too, this is the worst missed call you'll ever see. But with how bad these big league umpires are we may see a player fully swing and have it called a ball, wouldn't put it past any of these umpires in the game right now.
