Frank Walks Is Clearly Catching On: The Tampa Bay Bucs Have 450 lb Desmond Watson Walking Laps In A Weighted Vest Instead Of Practicing At Training Camp

Last week the Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed Desmond Watson on the "non-football injury list" on account of being too beefy. He's the heaviest man in football, and I guess there comes a certain weight where that no longer acts as an advantage. Sure, you'd love to throw a big fella like that out there and clog up any gap that an opposing running back could see for miles. But if you're too big to stay in the game, then what good does all that beef do for you?

Fortunately for Desmond Watson, he's in the NFL. A multi-billion dollar league filled with some of the greatest athletic trainers, and nutritionists in the world. Really the only other organization that I think does a better job of getting their people to reach their highest possible physical capabilities would be Marvel getting actors ready to play a superhero role. So Desmond Watson is in good hands to get himself into playing shape. So what training plan are they going to place him on?

Straight out of the Frank Fleming playbook, the Bucs just have Desmond Watson walking laps around the practice facility. If it can work for the Tank, then the Bucs are hoping that it works for Desmond Watson, too.

What needs to happen is that Tampa needs to bring Frank down to Florida and be Desmond Watson's personal fitness guru. Essentially you could just give Frank the same job title that Big Dom has with the Eagles. Have him become a part of the staff. It'll allow him to be closer to his Dolphins. It'll throw Steven Cheah into a fit of jealous rage. It'll get Desmond Watson into the physical and mental shape he needs to be in to play a full NFL schedule. It's a win for everyone. At the very least, they need to fly him down for training camp to do an episode of Frank Walks, and we could be looking at the start of a Hall of Fame career.
