Nobody Has Ever Looked More Ridiculous During A Golf Tournament Than This Dude Using A Mini Putter At The PGA Championship Of Canada (It's Working Though)

There's a lot of talk about swing your swing and whatever works when it comes to golf. It's true, who gives a shit what you look like if you're playing well. No one cares if you're slicing the ball and playing it, standing weird or using a putter that's too small for my 6-year old. The only way people care and you truly look like an asshole is if you're using one of the long putters, anchoring it and all that. I hate those putters and would much rather look like this.

Here's the thing. It's working. I just checked the leaderboard and he's entering the 2nd round in 16th place. Sure, the ace helps there, but he's still in 16th. I don't even know how you get to this point. How do you go from putting normally to constantly dropping size and finally getting 18 inches and the smallest allowed? He's not the first to try a mini putter, remember Robert Garrigus?

He did that on the PGA Tour! Also 10 inches bigger than Phillippe here. This is the thing with golf, you're willing to try anything. You watch/listen to something and try to figure it out if it helps your game. I don't care how good you are, it's the one sport you're always willing to tinker with to get a bit better. The real question is how the fuck do you not throw out your back doing this? That's as uncomfortable as it gets. Ridiculous either way, but I'm now cheering for him to win the PGA Championship of Canada.
