A Great Day For College Hoops - The NCAA Finally Decided To Use Their Brains, Voted Not To Expand The NCAA Tournament This Season
This right here is why you should always bully people. Don't let people tell you complaining doesn't work. I have no doubt in my mind that the 99.9% of us who have brains and screamed about how dumb expanding the NCAA Tournament would be played a role in this. We banded together on the Internet for the good of the sport.
There's just no way I can sit here and think anyone with an ounce of a brain thought expanding would be a good idea. People already scream that the college basketball regular season is pointless. People scream during conference tournament week that some games don't even matter, which is true for a seeding point when you get to late Saturday. You have people saying they don't want to see the 11th best team in a conference in the NCAA Tournament, which is what would happen. It's one of the dumbest things people wanted.
Let me be clear. I know this will come up again next year and when it comes to expansion I just assume every single sport will do it. If you want more teams in the NCAA Tournament just know you're wrong and basically a pussy. Your team gets left out? Simple, win more. That's all it comes down to when we have this sort of thing. You have 31 regular season games, the conference tournament, plenty of chances. Just fucking win games.
But for now we take our win. We get the perfect tournament again for another year. 64 teams, since we're not counting that play-in bullshit either. That's all it is and all we ever needed.
