Best Decision Of His Life - Kayvon Thibodeaux Bailed On A Pre-Draft Test For The Jets, Knew They Wouldn't Take Him Because Of That
This right here is a perfect example of knowing your role. Kayvon Thibodeaux was too tired to take a test for the Jets, it was kicking his ass because of that. So he did the reasonable thing. Bailed on it. We've all been there. You mail in a paper or a test because you do the math and figure out what's the lowest score you need to still keep a decent grade. That was basically this, just in NFL Draft form. You'd much rather play for the Giants than the Jets, even if we've both sucked lately. It's the Giants by a wide margin in terms of franchises you'd rather play for.
Now it's time for Thibodeaux to live up to the hype. He's supposed to be a defensive menace. He was the 5th pick. Now he has all the pieces around him for him to dominate. Teams have to focus on Dexter Lawrence and Abdul Carter (a freak) or even Brian Burns. That means it's Thibodeaux's time. It seems to be working though:
Love it. Can't even give a read on Justin Fields because he was scrambling for his life. That's all I want back in my life. I want the old NASCAR package. I want the Giants defense to live up to the hype. This is the start of it. More importantly, Thibodeaux gave the right life lesson. If shit's too tough, just bail if you have a better options. That goes for any part of life. Always take the better option.
