You're Never Going To Believe This But Jussie Smollett Has A Documentary Coming Out In Which He Slams Chicago Police, Rahm Emanuel, And Everybody Who Believes He Was A Lying About Hit "Hate Crime"

Variety - For Jussie Smollett, there are clear-cut perpetrators in the story of the 2019 case that sent his once-ascendant career into a death spiral.

“The villains are the two people who assaulted me, the Chicago Police Department and, if I may be so brave, the mayor,” he says. He’s referencing Rahm Emanuel, who held the city’s top job from 2011 to 2019 and is the brother of Hollywood power broker Ari Emanuel.

Smollett is making forays into rebooting his career as an actor, a director and a recording artist. But to do so, he needs to clear up this case, or at least attempt to: We’re speaking just after news broke of a new documentary, “The Truth About Jussie Smollett?,” which will stream on Netflix on Aug. 22 and features an interview with Smollett. The former “Empire” star says that the Chicago establishment conspired to frame him: He claims he experienced a hate crime, one that the world came to believe he faked. Why would the Chicago P.D. and Emanuel do this? He answers the question with two questions.

“Could it be that they had just found out about the missing minutes and the missing tape from the murder of Laquan McDonald? Could it be that the mayor helped hide that?” Smollett asks, referencing the case of a Chicago cop killing a Black teenager that prompted a federal judge to require the CPD to undertake dozens of reforms just two days after Smollett reported being attacked. “We’re living in a world where the higher-ups, their main mission, in order to do all of the underhanded things that they’re doing, is to distract us with the shiny object.” (Rahm Emanuel declined comment.)

As a teenage girl would say, "I can't even".

Get a load of this bullshit.

Remember Jussie Smollett? The guy who single-handedly turned Chicago into the global punchline of a bad sketch comedy skit six years ago?

The guy who staged a hate crime so cartoonishly stupid it made Scooby-Doo villains look like master criminals?

Yes. That same clown.

He’s back. And not just back, but back with a Netflix documentary where he claims, AGAIN, that he’s telling the truth.

This is the equivalent of O.J. writing If I Did It, except somehow even less self-aware.

Jussie says the “villains” of his story aren’t himself, the Nigerian brothers he literally wrote checks to, or the bleach-and-noose prop department.

No.

The real bad guys were Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago Police Department, and us. As in society.

No bullshit.

According to Jussie, it was all a vast conspiracy to silence him. He really sat down and said with a straight face: “The Chicago establishment framed me to distract from the Laquan McDonald murder tape.”

Buddy. If you’re wondering why the world thinks you’re a clown, it’s because your defense sounds like it was stolen from the YouTube comment section of an Alex Jones highlight reel.

I can't believe it's been almost six years since all this shit went down, but let's take a walk down memory lane for references sake.

January 2019. Polar vortex. Negative 20 degrees outside. No one in Chicago wanted to leave their couch to grab the mail, but apparently, two MAGA bros in ski masks were roaming the frozen tundra of Streeterville, AKA MAGA Country, carrying bleach and a noose like they were starring in Home Alone 3. And they just so happened to bump into Jussie Smollett outside a Subway sandwich shop at 2 a.m.

Giphy Images.

It was bullshit then, and it’s bullshit now.

The Nigerian brothers testified under oath. The evidence was laid out. And it was damning. They had fucking CHECKS FROM JUSSIE SIGNED TO THEM. He was convicted. And even after the conviction, after being roasted in every corner of the internet, after getting let off the hook by Kim Foxx, (thanks to a little Obama-family favor-pulling). Jussie’s still here, still insisting that he was the victim.

I actually had dinner with the two brothers at La Scarolla a couple of years ago and got the entire story straight from them.

Smollett says, “Every single other person’s story has changed multiple times. Mine has never.”

Which is hilarious, because yeah, his story never changed. It was just complete fantasy land bullshit from the beginning.

Imagine burning your entire career to the ground, humiliating yourself on a national stage, and then six years later thinking, You know what the people want? More Jussie Smollett.

This documentary is called The Truth About Jussie Smollett? with a question mark. A perfect title. Because the truth is, he’s still full of shit.

Jussie had it made. He parlayed a role in the original MIghty Ducks into some slight Empire fame, a $100,000-an-episode paycheck, a music career on the side.

Then he threw it away because he “craved attention”- not my words, the judge’s.

And now he wants another shot, dropping albums no one asked for and trying to force his comeback tour on the same public he conned.

This isn’t a shot at redemption. It’s fucking delusion. It’s a man still cosplaying as a victim instead of admitting he tanked his own career.

He's never once said sorry, or taken any accountability whatsoever.

Jussie Smollett is the only guy who could fake his own hate crime, get caught, get convicted, get pardoned on a technicality, and still somehow act like he’s the wronged party. And the fact Netflix is giving this piece of shit a platform to continue this charade is a disgrace.

p.s.- the Osundairo Brothers issued a statement in response to this rubbish through their attorney -

Yahoo News - However, Gloria Rodriguez, attorney for brothers Abel and Ola Osundairo, who were a part of his alleged hate crime hoax, says the public won't accept him unless he admits the attack was staged.

Speaking to TMZ, Rodriguez said Smollett is making his return to the spotlight far more difficult by refusing to acknowledge the truth.

Rodriguez dismissed Smollett's claim about Emanuel as "nonsense," pointing out that a mayor has no authority to file criminal charges and, at most, he could have authorized a civil suit.

She argued that by refusing to recognize the truth, he's wasting his talent and sabotaging his own future by sticking to a story the public no longer believes.

Rodriguez notes that both authorities and a jury believed the brothers' version of events, telling TMZ: "Jussie is as guilty as he was when he concocted this plan. He filed a false police report."

She added that it's impossible for both Smollett's and the Osundairos' accounts to be true.

The reenactment of the attack that the brothers did for Extra is an absolute must-watch.
