A Man Pretending to Be Justin Bieber Tricked XS Nightclub at The Wynn Las Vegas Into Letting Him Perform, Everybody Fell For It
I mentioned this at the end of one of my Dumping Them Out blogs the other week, but there was a kid from my high school who was a Justin Bieber impersonator. He actually went on to be a somewhat legitimate actor. Anthony De La Torre. He played Young Jack Sparrow in one of the Pirates of The Caribbean movies. But back in the day when I was working at my local ice arena, some grandparents rented out our lounge to have a skating party for their granddaughter's birthday. As a surprise, they hired that Anthony guy to impersonate Justin Bieber and perform at her party. I didn't see this all go down, but during the birthday party, one of my co-workers informed us the granddaughter was outside the lounge crying because she could tell the person performing wasn't the actual Justin Bieber.
I felt so bad for the poor grandparents, but apparently their 6-year old granddaughter was smarter than XS Nightclub was this weekend. And smarter than everyone else in it. Because by the looks of it, not a single person in there wasn't thoroughly convinced that this imposter wasn't Justin Bieber himself.
To be fair to the fans, Justin Bieber performing at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas is a little bit more believable than Justin Bieber headlining the Multi-Purpose Lounge at the Bowling Green State University Ice Arena. If I were at that nightclub, I would have fell for it too. He had the shaved head. He had the Bieber tattoos.
His voice wasn't nearly as good as the real Justin Bieber's, but he was a pretty damn solid performer. He's clearly impersonated Justin Bieber on stage multiple times before. So if I'm drunk at XS Nightclub at the Wynn, which is one of the premier nightclubs in Las Vegas, and they tell me they have Justin Bieber, I'd absolutely would have bought it. They get huge acts all the time. The Justin Bieber himself (the real one) performed there back in 2021.
I'm a little unclear on exactly how many people inside of XS had paid to get in under the impression that Justin Bieber was going to be performing, and how many of them just happened to be there when fake Justin Bieber stormed the stage. Take this with a massive grain of salt, because I have no idea what these girl's sources are, but a girl who lives in Las Vegas (who allegedly has some insight) posted these videos on TikTok.

It would stand to reason that even if Wynn wasn't publicly promoting Justin Bieber, as soon as a promoter learned he was going to be there, he'd call every rich person in his phone book to try and make a quick buck.
Obviously, someone is getting fired here. For the people working at the XS Nightclub who fell for this guy… there just had to have been a way they could easily have verified that this man was NOT the real Justin Bieber.

I understand that real-life Justin Bieber has been doing some weird shit lately. So it might also stand to reason that he's liable to do something as impulsive as show up to a nightclub for a free concert on a whim. But considering he's performed at XS before… and considering all of the different artists they've had come through in the past… you'd think somebody at the Wynn would have had the information of Justin Bieber's people, or the phone number of ANYBODY who could confirm his actual whereabouts.
So who is this guy? It took the internet all of a few hours (maybe minutes) to uncover that the impersonator is a man named Dylan Desclos. His Instagram has allegedly been banned, but this appears to be his Twitter profile.
He literally posted a picture of him landing in Las Vegas early Friday morning.
And without his glasses on… c'mon, XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas… what are we doing here… his dedication to matching Bieber's tattoos is impressive, but that face looks closer to Barstool Jordie than Justin Bieber.

But good for Dylan Desclos. Aside from the fact that the Wynn might attempt to sue him for all he's worth, that's a pretty awesome story to have for the rest of your life. That's gotta be the absolute peak for any celebrity impersonator. To fool a massive crowd of people into believing you are the real deal. What an incredible few hours that must have been. Well played, sir. Good luck vs the Las Vegas casino lawyers. You're gonna need it. Maybe Justin Bieber himself will lend you his.
UPDATE: The DJ from that night has now posted an Instagram video showing a bit of him getting duped in real time.
