Jake Paul Is FINALLY Fighting A REAL BOXER In Gervonta Tank Davis, And People Are Very Satisfied That He's Accepted A Real Fight
Did I say "very satisfied" that Jake Paul is taking a fight with a real boxer? I'm sorry. I meant, "more infuriated than ever". Because the real boxer that he's fighting in Gervonta "Tank" Davis is roughly the size of Jake Paul's bloated head.
Master marketer. Platinum level troll of the world at large. What Meek Phill is to the Barstool-Twitter universe, Jake Paul is to.... Earth. It must be so exhausting. Just every, single, thing he does is seemingly done in an effort to infuriate as many people as humanly possible. But by God does he do it. From his face, to his haircut, to his beard, to his words, to his face again. Everything about the guy just makes you grit your teeth and go, "aaahhhhhhhyuck", before putting down your phone and trying to quickly wipe the memory of what you just saw from your brain completely. I'm not sure how exactly that translates to views, but somehow it does.
I like to think Jake Paul knows full-well how not-at-all serious his boxing career is. At least that's what I tell myself, because it makes stomaching him a little bit easier. I mean, he is legitimately training all the time. But because of that, he surely must know what elite level boxing actually looks like. I don't think you can get to where he is (financially) by being completely delusional. And obviously, if Jake Paul truly was that delusional, he would actually take a respectable fight with someone he thinks he can beat up, but in reality would knock him out in 10 seconds. But if he just plays into the persona, threatens to sue anybody in the world who tries to say his fights are "staged", and continues finding fun new ways piss people off... for whatever reason that makes him even bigger. Better yet, he'll never actually have to risk getting knocked out cold, or even risk getting punched in the face in any real way. Whatever it is that goes through that guy's big gross head, clearly it's working for him.
And Dave's right. In the "How can I create even more of a circus?" department, setting up this fight with Gervonta Davis might be his magnum opus.
Internet: FIGHT SOMEBODY FUCKING REAL JAKE PAUL!!! CAN YOU PLEASE JUST FIGHT A REAL BOXER WHO ISN'T 100 YEARS OLD!!!
Jake Paul: How about undefeated, 30-year old, former three-division world champion, Gervonta Davis....
Who's only 8-inches shorter, and over 60-pounds lighter...
There was even a time where Jake Paul weighed in at 227. At a point in their lives, Jake Paul had nearly 100 pounds on "Tank" Davis. That's nearly double the amount of person. But hey, you can't say Gervonta Davis isn't a real fighter! He's as real as fighters get. And you certainly can't accuse Jake Paul of setting up a fake fight. Because he will sue you for it.
Congratulations on whatever the hell this is Jake Paul. And even bigger congratulations to Gervonta Davis, who is about the make the easiest millions of dollars a person will ever make.
