Source - Lil Nas X is hospitalized after a bizarre scene in L.A. -- he was strolling down the middle of a major street early Thursday morning, wearing only his underwear and cowboy boots!!!

TMZ Hip Hop obtained video of the "Old Town Road" rapper nearly naked, and floating aimlessly down Ventura Blvd at 4 AM. Someone driving past him recorded Nas, who repeatedly pointed at the camera and muttered something about heading to a party -- and at one point, he placed an orange traffic cone on his head.

The Video:

Our sources say others in the Studio City area noticed Lil Nas, and thought the whole thing was weird enough to report it to police. As it turns out, several people in the area had reported to LAPD that they saw a nude man walking in the road.

We're told officers responded and found him still walking down the middle of the road, and after Nas charged at officers … they subdued him and put him in handcuffs. Officers told paramedics it was a possible overdose and Nas was transported to a hospital.

What the helly? I'm hoping this is some sort of publicity stunt, but something tells me it's not. Those usually end before you get dragged away in cuffs. I hope someone releases the video of him charging at the cops. That said, this has to be a bad trip, right? Then again, I have taken my fair share of psychedelics and never had a reaction like this. The worst thing that happened was seeing my friend's boobs on the diving board of her grandmother's pool. Nightmare city.

Anyway, the fact that Lil Nas X was using the center lane as a runway is so hilariously gay that is makes me think Nas will be fine. Sure he may have been experiencing a near death/psychological breakdown, but he pumped the turn lane SO hard that I think he can come back. We will see.

In all seriousness, hoping that Nas is able to get past whatever he is going through. Fingers crossed the next time we hear about him it's much better news.
