Oh Good, The NFL Is Finally Worrying About The Biggest Problem In The Game - Planning On Calling More Penalties This Season For Taunting
Fuck this.
Honestly, that's about all I got and what this blog really is all about. I can't stress how little I care about sportsmanship, it's all bullshit anyways. After the game go shake hands, dap guys up, but during the game? I don't care about celebrations or taunting or anything like that. Don't want to see it, don't let a player make a play. The standing over a guy? We still celebrate one of the iconic images in all of sports.
15 yard penalty, can push you out of scoring range and/or kill a complete drive. Awesome. That's what we want! The one thing NFL fans bitch about the most it's inconsistency in officiating and the amount of dumb penalties we get. This is only going to add to it, especially since it's an emphasis this season. That means the first 3-4 weeks we're going to get a penalty for like a high five.
Here's what I want. Consistent calls, not guys getting bailed out on an underthrown pass, let people get hit and not automatically throw a flag for it and let guys celebrate. Who cares about stepping over someone? No one. Not a soul in the world fucking cares about it. Maybe get fields that aren't falling apart half the time and stop playing games overseas.
Oh, let's also figure out what the fuck a catch is. That seems to be something of importance and something that we shouldn't be yelling about basically every Sunday. But, sure, we're going to watch a million penalties during a violent sport because of sportsmanship. Nailed it as always in terms of what actually matters.
