Lesson For Fans Across The NFL: Be Prepared For An Angry Confrontation If You Call Michael Penix , 'Michael Penis'

This is one of those where you have to tip your cap. I'm sure Michael Penix has heard the penis joke over and over again. Hell, a news company ran it as his name earlier this month: 

But that doesn't mean you can't get pissed at hearing a Penis joke. I mean, no one wants their last name mispronounced. Trust me as a guy with the last name Reagan, not pronounced like the president, it gets annoying. Now imagine you're talking about literal cocks for your last name instead of anything else. The only problem here is Penix showed his hand too early. Can't be flustered in the preseason from a penis joke, opposing defenses will throw that out there at all times now that it can rattle you. Plus, you can't waste your one fight a fan rule in the preseason. Save it for playing in New Orleans or another NFC South rival. 

I do appreciate this though. I stand by the fact that athletes or celebrities have every right to respond to fans. The fact that fans have a cell phone shouldn't stop anything from happening. You want a reaction, you get a reaction, you don't get to celebrate because of a cell phone. 

Lesson learned though. This fella will backtrack fast when questioned if he said Michael Penis.
