"Human Organs Can Be Continuously Transplanted" - Vladimir Putin Caught on Hot Mic Talking to China President Xi, Believes He Can Achieve Immortality
Xi: Earlier, people rarely lived to 70, but these days at 70 years old you're basically a child
Putin: With the development of biotechnology, human organs can continuously be transplanted, and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality
Xi: Predictions are, this century, there's a chance of also living to 150
For most people, there comes a time (or multiple times) in their lives when they look in the mirror and think, "Shit. I'm going to die someday. I don't want that to happen. I'm going to start doing things to prevent it."
So they'll quit smoking, take up exercising, start ordering salads at steakhouses, all the normal healthy things your average physician would recommend. Others will take things a step further and get really into junk science, or weird wholistic eastern medicine techniques. All the things their friends (or people on the internet) say might help them live just a little bit longer, they're willing to give a shot. But imagine being so rich & powerful that when you get to dying age, instead of splurging for a monthly subscription of One A Day multivitamins, you get really into experimental biotechnology and organ swapping in an effort to achieve immortality.
I can't decide if that's sad or encouraging. Sometimes I wonder if people in extreme positions of power like Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, or Donald Trump for that matter, are even happy. Is everything they do really worth it? I see the shit they have to deal with on a daily basis, and to me it all looks miserable. Their lives look exhausting. There's almost nothing in the world I cherish more than the times I'm able to completely fuck off and do nothing. I'm not sure world leaders are ever truly able to "fuck off" like that. But if Vladimir Putin is desperately searching for the real-life fountain of youth, and deluding himself into thinking he can literally live forever... well he must not be completely miserable. It's nice to know all those war crimes have brought at least some level of enjoyment to his life.
Or maybe Putin just knows he's going to hell and is trying to stave off eternal damnation for as long as possible. That would make sense too. Either way, it can't be healthy to NEVER come to terms with the fact that you will die someday. I feel like that's a pretty important hurdle to get over when you reach a certain point in life. He's never going to get closure with his loved ones, because he'll never be able to admit it's over. Putin on his death bed is going to be a wild scene. He's going to have his crazy Russian doctors start ripping organs out of live bodies and stuffing them into his open chest. If you're one of Putin's people, when that times come, you better get as far away from that as possible. The guy who's carrying Putin's shit suitcase might as well be a walking organ farm.
You're going to die someday Putin. I'm sorry. That's not a threat. It's a promise. I think. Or maybe I'm wrong. If I'm wrong, and immortality for rich people is really on the table, that would be terrible. We can't have people living forever. Because it's only going to be the most powerful billionaires who get to do it. And if once people earn $___ billion dollars, it means they're able to live forever... that just can't be a good thing for society.
P.S. Shoutout to that translator for speaking so loudly and clearly into the live mic. I hope they haven't murdered him (or whoever left the mics on) for it yet. Which makes me wonder about the people responsible for translating important conversations between Putin and whoever else. I wonder if once every few years or so, when Putin has a really top conversation with another world leader, if he just kills the translator off. I gotta think Putin has had a translator murdered before. Does anybody know if this man is still with us?
P.P.S. Kinda fucked up how when President Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin have a conversation about living forever, it makes national news. But when Steven Cheah said the same thing a month ago, everybody just laughed at him.
