Annika and I Are Finished

With Beach House finally over, Annika and I had to face the question everyone’s been waiting on, what does our future look like? Are we getting back together? Are we just friends? Or are we destined to settle somewhere in between? After a lot of honest conversation, we both agreed that while we might not be meant to be together romantically, we are meant to work together. And honestly, that realization felt like a win in its own way.

I don’t regret coupling up with Annika during that last week of Beach House. If anything, I’m glad it happened. Being “together” again reminded me of all the reasons it worked and just as importantly, all the reasons it didn’t. It gave both of us some closure and clarity, which is exactly what we needed moving forward.
